- Size Note: All properly sized solid tires have a slightly smaller inner diameter than the rim’s outer diameter. Unlike inflatable tires, solid tires lack inner tube air pressure to stay tight against the rim, so they’re intentionally designed this way—using the material’s elastic deformation (stretching then shrinking) for a secure fit. This is normal, not a wrong size, and the tire’s bead seat width being larger than the rim’s groove width follows the same logic.

- Installation Tip: Installing solid tires is difficult. Before installation, must soak the tire in boiling water for at least 20 minutes to soften it. Softened tires have ductility and can be stretched to fit over the rim. We recommend 2 people work together for installation; even better, take it to a nearby auto shop to use a hydraulic press for installation.
