Beware of the Camera Bump "Air Gap" Many modern flagship phones feature tall camera bumps. If the ring cannot sit completely flush against the surface you are mounting to, it creates an "air gap." Even a 1mm gap can significantly weaken magnetic pull. The Fix: Use a flat Hard PC or smooth TPU phone case to level out the back of your phone, eliminating the gap for maximum contact. 2. Always Install on the OUTSIDE of Your Case Placing the magnetic ring hidden inside the phone case creates a physical barrier that severely blocks the magnetic field. The Fix: Always apply the ring directly to the OUTSIDE back of your phone case. 3. Choose the Right Surface for the 3M Adhesive Modern bare phones (like iPhone glass backs) and premium cases often have anti-fingerprint or oleophobic coatings.
