- HAND-FORGED IN TOGO, AFRICA - This family of Alo (AH-loe) bell is hand forged from recycled iron by expert blacksmiths in Togo. The Alo bell originally comes from Nigeria, but is also used traditionally among the Ewe of Ghana and Togo (as a single-tone Gankogui bell).
- SET OF 3 BELLS – Includes 3 bells: Large Bell (9.5” tall, 13” total height), Standard Bell (8” tall, 11” total height), and Small Bell (5” tall, 7.5” total height). Each bell produces a single melodious tone when struck with the included light-wood sticks.
- BRIGHT, SUSTAINED TONES – The bell produces bright, sustained tones that carry over the ensemble. The sound is also appropriate for Afro-Cuban and Latin drumming music, where a cow bell might otherwise be used.
- DURABLE AND UNIQUE SOUND – Each bell will have its own unique pitch and sound quality due to the nature of the materials and crafting process.
