Blue Run High Rye Kentucky Straight Bourbon

Blue Run High Rye Kentucky Straight Bourbon is a small-batch whiskey, and the first Blue Run release distilled by Bourbon Hall of Famer Jim Rutledge.

This expression was distilled at the Castle & Key Distillery in Lexington, Kentucky.

Mashbill: Yellow Corn 65%, Rye 30%, Malted Barley 5%

Nose: Begins with aromas of pralines and orange peel, followed by hints of bright cherry and tobacco.

Palate: Brown sugar and nuttiness emerge on the front palate, accompanied by white pepper that gradually transitions to stone fruits and dried apricot.

Finish: A rather lengthy finish with herbal white tea notes, peach, and clove.
