BPK Height Adjustable Skimmer Stand | Professional Sump Accessory

BPK Height Adjustable Skimmer Stand – Precision Sump Tuning

The BPK Height Adjustable Skimmer Stand is a heavy-duty accessory designed to optimize the performance of protein skimmers by ensuring they sit at the perfect water depth. Many high-performance skimmers require a specific water level to foam efficiently; if the sump water is too deep, the skimmer may overflow or "wet skim" uncontrollably. This stand, finished in BPK's signature professional black, allows reef keepers to lift their skimmer to the ideal height without the need for unstable DIY solutions like eggcrate or PVC pipes.

Optimized Performance & Structural Stability

This adjustable stand provides the stable foundation necessary for consistent nutrient export and quiet operation.

• Variable Height Adjustment: Features a simple yet secure adjustment system that allows you to raise or lower the platform to match your skimmer’s specific "sweet spot" for water depth.

• Heavy-Duty Construction: Built from high-density, reef-safe PVC and acrylic, designed to support the significant weight of large skimmers filled with water without bowing or vibrating.

• Vibration Dampening Design: The solid platform and integrated feet help to isolate pump vibrations, leading to a quieter sump environment and reduced resonance through the glass.

• Maximized Footprint: The open-base design allows for unobstructed water flow underneath the stand, preventing the buildup of detritus and "dead spots" in your sump's filtration chamber.

• Corrosion-Proof Components: Utilizing 100% plastic and high-grade composite hardware, this stand is completely immune to the harsh, corrosive effects of saltwater and ozone.

FAQ Section: Common Questions

• Why do I need a skimmer stand? Most sumps have a fixed water level determined by the baffles. If your skimmer requires 7 inches of water but your sump is 10 inches deep, this stand bridges that 3-inch gap to prevent the skimmer from overflowing.

• What is the maximum weight capacity? While specific to the model size, these stands are generally engineered to support up to 20–30 kg, covering the majority of internal protein skimmers on the market.

• Will it fit in my sump? The BPK stand comes in various footprint sizes (e.g., 20x20cm, 30x30cm). Always measure the internal width of your sump chamber and the base of your skimmer before purchasing to ensure a proper fit.

• Is the height adjustable while in the water? For safety and stability, it is recommended to remove the skimmer before adjusting the height of the stand to ensure the locking mechanisms are properly seated and level.
