• Details:  This is a wonderful plate from the Eve Licea series titled: "Biblical Mothers" that ran from 1983 – 1986.  This is the fifth piece in the series, dated 1986, it is a Registered Collector's Plate, #2720A.  This plate in made in the true "Licea Style", which is a combination of textures and gold that was originated by Eve Licea.  It is hard to describe the beauty of this plate, there are so many things to note: the patterns, textures, colors and the glorious meaning behind this scene.  It is signed by Eve towards the bottom and the back has all the information about this beautiful collection. Wonderful gift for a Sunday School teacher, or anyone interested in Biblical stories. Edwin M. Knowles entered the pottery business after receiving his education at Allegheny College and Harvard University.   He took control of the Potters Supply Company of East Liverpool, Ohio in 1890.  By 1900, he became founder and president of the Knowles China Company, which soon changed its name to the Edwin M. Knowles China Co.
