The Drillco 300 series short length drill bit is made from high-speed steel with a black oxide finish and has a 135-degree split point for drilling hard sheet metal alloys such as stainless and titanium. This short length drill bit provides rigidity and strength to reduce tool deflection and breakage. High-speed steel (HSS) provides hardness for wear resistance, and the black oxide finish reduces wear while promoting chip and coolant flow. The self-centering 135-degree split point penetrates hard material without a pilot hole and produces smaller chips that reduce clogging compared to a 118-degree point. The round shank accommodates most drill chucks. The drill bit conforms to American National Standards Institute (ANSI) specifications.
