Northern Sentinel® Honeylocust

Why it rocks:

Northern Sentinel® Honeylocust stands tall and narrow and casts a beautiful dappled shade. Delicate, green fern-like leaves turn a showy golden-yellow in autumn. It stands out from other honeylocust trees due to its upright, tight branching and reliability. Most notably, Northern Sentinel® Honeylocust is unlikely to suffer damage from ice and snow, and it's storm and drought-resistant. It is considered podless in most conditions. If pods do appear, they are sparse.

Where to put it:

Northern Sentinel® Honeylocust has a sturdy branching structure. This characteristic allows it to grow well in urban sites such as parkways and parks. Due to its narrow form, this large tree will do well in tighter locations where shade is needed.

What it needs:

Northern Sentinel® Honeylocust is an adaptable tree that can grow just about anywhere. Please follow our watering guidelines for the first few growing seasons until the root system is well-established.
