Seachem Equilibrium | Planted Tank GH & Mineral Replenisher

Seachem Equilibrium – Specialized GH & Mineral Replenisher

Seachem Equilibrium is specifically designed to establish the ideal mineral content for the planted aquarium. It is the premier solution for restoring and maintaining the essential mineral and electrolyte content (General Hardness) of the water to balance with and promote the stability of carbonate hardness. Ideally suited for use with Reverse Osmosis (RO) or Deionized (DI) water, Equilibrium ensures that your aquatic plants have the mineral "building blocks" required for long-term health and vitality.

Optimized Mineralization for Planted Aquascapes

Equilibrium provides a targeted approach to water chemistry by excluding elements that can be detrimental to a high-tech planted tank.

• Potassium-Rich Formula: Contains only calcium, magnesium, and potassium salts, which aid in fish metabolism and are highly beneficial to plant growth.

• Sodium & Chloride Free: Unlike many other mineral replenishers, Equilibrium does not contain sodium or chloride, which can be harmful to sensitive aquatic plants at high levels.

• Establishes General Hardness (GH): Effectively raises the electrolyte content of the water to meet the specific osmotic needs of freshwater fish and flora.

• Fast-Dissolving Powder: Engineered for rapid dissolution, ensuring that minerals are quickly made bio-available without leaving behind significant residue.

• RO/DI System Support: The perfect companion for purified water systems, allowing you to build a custom water profile from the ground up.

FAQ Section: Common Questions

• How much Seachem Equilibrium should I use?

To raise the General Hardness (GH) by 1 meq/L (3 dGH), add 16 g (1 tablespoon) for every 80 L (20 US gallons) when setting up a tank or making water changes.

• Why is my water cloudy after adding Equilibrium?

Equilibrium is a high-concentration mineral powder; a slight cloudiness is normal and typically clears within 15–30 minutes as the minerals fully dissolve into the water column.

• Does Equilibrium affect $pH$ or $KH$?

Equilibrium is designed to strictly affect the General Hardness (GH). To adjust Carbonate Hardness ($KH$) or $pH$, we recommend using Seachem Alkaline Buffer or Acid Buffer in conjunction with this product.
