You'll have the world at your fingertips while serving cocktails from this elegant, 13"dia. Italian-style globe bar wrapped in replica 16th century ancient nautical maps from the National Museum of Science, Florence. Say cheers to welcome guests with the Old World charm of a uniquely functional work of art. This sure-fire conversation piece opens from a hinged meridian to reveal artistic interior frescoes reminiscent of domed ceiling contraspecto ("view from the heavens"). A trio of handsome, turned hardwood legs rises from rolling casters and a circular lower shelf, allowing additional storage that happily wheels from spot to spot. Our Toscano exclusive even includes secure spots to show off your treasured decanter bottles and collectible liquor and barware. Simple assembly required. 17½ "dia. x34½ "H. 12 lbs. Historical Maps - All of our globes are made using copies of original charts, researched for their historical accuracy and visual appeal. Transposing a two dimensional paper lithograph onto a three-dimensional sphere will cause some distortion and seaming.
