IDEAL STEEL What's the softest steel we've ever used to make an Iron? S15C, which makes ZXi7 7% softer. ZXi5 and ZXiU face plates are also 14% softer. And ZXi4 now features the softer SUS17-47 for its body material. CONDENSED FORGING* Using softer steels enhances ZXi feel. But strength matters, too. To deliver both, we use Condensed Forging. Here's how it works: The hydraulic dies which forge red-hot billets into ZXi Irons imprint an array of raised features onto each rough Iron shape.
