The Bible of El: The Sacred Text of the Father of Years, (Paperback)

Before the God of the Bible was called by His later names, He was known simply as El - the Most High, the Father of Years, the Creator of Creatures. His name is the oldest divine name in the Semitic world, attested across Ugarit, Phoenicia, Canaan, and the patriarchal narratives of the Hebrew scriptures themselves. Now, for the first time, the complete mythology, theology, and devotional tradition of El has been gathered, reconstructed, and composed into a single canonical scripture in the tradition of the great sacred texts of the ancient world.
The Sacred Scriptures of El: The Book of the Most High is a canonical text written in the style of a modern Bible - numbered chapters and verses, poetic hymns, narrative epics, wisdom literature, law, prophecy, and devotional prayer - drawing upon every known ancient source: the Ugaritic mythological tablets of Ras Shamra (c. 1400-1200 BCE), the Dead Sea Scrolls, the Phoenician History of Philo of Byblos, and the scholarly consensus of over a century of Near Eastern archaeology and textual study.
Inside you will find the Book of Origins, telling the creation of the cosmos by El and his consort Asherah and the fashioning of mankind; the Book of the Council, presenting the divine assembly of El's 70 sons, including Yahweh's appointment over the portion of Jacob as preserved in Deuteronomy 32:8 of the Dead Sea Scrolls; the great Baal Cycle, the oldest continuous mythology of the ancient Levant; the Legend of Keret, in which El appears in a dream to guide a grieving king; the Legend of Aqhat, the story of the righteous Danel and his son; 75 Psalms of praise, lament, and thanksgiving; ten chapters of Proverbs from the divine council; the Book of the Law of El with its sacred covenant and ten principles; the Book of the Prophets of El with oracles of judgment, hope, and restoration; and complete Worship Practices, Prayers, and a full liturgy for the Feast of the Elohim.
The back matter includes a comprehensive Bibliography of Names identifying every deity, hero, and being in the text; a full Reference Section citing all ancient sources by their scholarly designations; and a complete General Index.
This work is a creative and scholarly religious reconstruction, clearly labeled as such. It does not claim to be a discovered ancient manuscript. It is produced in the spirit of religious freedom, cultural preservation, and spiritual inquiry - for seekers, scholars, students of ancient religion, and all who wish to encounter the oldest Father-God of the Western world on His own terms.
"El, Bull El, his father; the King who established him; the Creator of creatures." - Ugaritic Baal Cycle, KTU 1.3 V 35-36
"When the Most High gave the nations their inheritance, He set the boundaries of the peoples according to the number of the sons of God." - Deuteronomy 32:8, Dead Sea Scrolls reading
